I'm Victoria Phipps and I help parents turn their every day snaps into artful photographs which document their family life.
Taking photographs seriously since 2009, I spent eleven years building a successful wedding photography business. Then the pandemic hit, weddings were cancelled and during that time I became a mother for the first time. And not long after, for the second time!
When I re-joined the world of work after my double maternity I knew that shooting weddings here, there and everywhere each weekend was no longer going to work for me. So I pivoted my business and now I dedicate my energy to capturing beautiful family portraits on film and creating bespoke artwork for my clients to display in their homes.
Working with so many families led me to realise that whilst a professional family photography session is a real treat, it represents a short moment in time. As parents we know that our children are not robots we can set to perform as and when. They are little humans who do or say the most incredible and adorable things completely out of the blue!
I realised that what many parents want is the knowledge and skills to take better pictures of their family's day to day lives in the moment, but they just aren't sure where to start!
I knew I could help with this and so I'm in the process of building a course to help parents capture natural family photographs that they fall in love with.

I don't have a lot of spare time juggling work, life and little people! How long will your course take?
It really depends on how much time you can devote... you could lock yourself away and complete it in a weekend! The course schedule is flexible and can be accessed any time any place, so you can go at your own pace. Lesson modules are short and manageable allowing for gradual learning.
I understand well the challenges of finding time to invest in something like this for yourself when you're juggling demands of work and family life. Keep your eye on the goal of completing this course and creating a more balanced life through flexible career options.
I'm concerned about cost and not sure I can afford to invest in photography training right now. Do you offer payment plans?

I'm unsure of the effectiveness of an online course, do you offer in person workshops?
I do occasionally offer in-person photography workshops (keep an eye on my social media for updates!), but the online course is a great place to start! You'll find it's very user friendly and packed with valuable content.
The course includes live Q&A sessions where I'll be happy to answer any questions you have, feedback on assignments and networking opportunities with other participants.
